Neuroclacks Social Media and Communications Policy
1. Purpose This policy sets out the guidelines for responsible and respectful communication on Neuroclacks’ social media channels and other communication platforms. It ensures that all public and internal communications align with the organization’s values of inclusivity, respect, and safeguarding.
2. Principles Neuroclacks is committed to:
Ensuring all communication is respectful, inclusive, and appropriate.
Maintaining confidentiality and data protection when discussing members or activities.
Preventing harassment, discrimination, or harmful content on any platform.
Using social media to positively promote the organization’s mission and engage with the community.
3. Social Media Use
Only designated committee members may post on official Neuroclacks social media accounts.
Posts must align with Neuroclacks’ values and policies.
Members and volunteers must not share confidential or sensitive information about the organization or its members.
Any external collaborations or partnerships on social media must be approved by the committee.
By attending a Neuroclacks session, members acknowledge that they may be featured in social media content, including images and videos.
4. Member Communication
Neuroclacks will respect members’ communication preferences, including opt-ins for emails, messages, and notifications.
Phone numbers and personal details shared in group chats or communication platforms must be handled with care, respecting privacy settings.
Any complaints or concerns raised through communications will be handled promptly and respectfully.
5. Inappropriate Content and Misuse
Harassment, discrimination, hate speech, or offensive content will not be tolerated.
Any member found misusing social media or communication channels may be subject to disciplinary action.
If a safeguarding risk arises from communication, appropriate action will be taken, including reporting to relevant authorities if necessary.
6. Review and Amendments This policy will be reviewed annually or as required to ensure it remains effective and in line with best practices.
